I thought that on some level movies were supposed to entertain.
This movie isn't even so bad it's good.
There isn't even any goofy dialogue we can laugh at (a requirement for all bad movies made in the 50s and 60s).
Just over-dramatic narration.
But the special effects are awesome. (I'm being facetious of course.
Sandra should have just smoked a blunt, when things were getting tough after marrying Johnny instead of the psyche pills her Dr. gave her.🤣 Much more natural and it doesn't make her feel like a zombie.

the 10 thumbs down came from "War on Drugs" assholes with no fucking clue about addiction and/or the nature of physical chronic intractable pain (use of heroin-like morphine-like opiates for pain management E.G. Vicodin (Dihydrocodeinone aka "HYDROCODONE" the stuff "Dr. House" uses for pain management/abuses, Oxycodone (Oxycontin/Percocet), Hydromorphone aka "Dialaudid" (3x stronge rthan Heroin), Oxymorphone (10x stronger than morphine and 4 times stronger than "heroin"), Dhydrocodeine and Codeine, which is the weakest Opiate of all (codeine is the worst for pain management and many people are allergic to it). FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT FOR AN INJURY I HAVE SUSTAINED in 1993 I have taken the following "dope" aka "Opiate" heroin-like meds…. 1. I take and/or have taken Vicodin/Lortab/Lorcet plus aka "Hydrocodone" for20yrs, Oxycodone for 10yrs, Codeine for 1yr, and even Tramadol (it didn't do shit or even relieve my pain one bit!) This kind of film is stupid. It makes Heroin addiction seem romantic or "Bitchin'" when it is a living death…. So, in summary, Opiates are good if taken for PAIN and bad if taken for addiction/escape.
I thought by the title it was one of those "biker chicks from hell" movies. Turned out to be a pretty good movie on teenage drug abuse in the early 50's. It 's surprisingly as true today as it was then & amazes one on just how far we still are from eradicating the drug problem in our society. Two scenes did date this movie though. 1) Calling pot smokers "junkies" & 2) While the narrator talks of the horror & degradation of being addicted to a drug the detective puffs on a big pipe of tobacco.

i didn't think id like this movie im not in2 black & white narrated even werse but by the end i couldn't beleave how true it is 2day y cant we find a better way
everytime there is a withdraw sceen there is this music which sounds like a MARS invasion theme lol lol lol
